ROSCONCERT and the Mugham International Center signed a cooperation agreement
The Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan are bound by long-standing friendly relations and the mutual interest of the peoples in the history and culture of both countries.
Cultural cooperation often plays no less a role than economic and political interaction, and joint cultural projects aimed at developing cultural ties, strengthening intercultural dialogue and expanding the common information and cultural space make a significant contribution to the rapprochement of peoples.
The agreement aimed at organizing humanitarian and educational projects within the framework of cultural exchange events with the aim of holding concerts in 2021-2023 was signed by Andrey Malyshev, General Director of ROSCONCERT, and Murad Huseynov, Director of the International Mugham Center.
The Mugham International Center was founded in December 2008 with the aim of creating a platform for cultural and educational activities through the organization of concerts, festivals, art evenings, and competitions.
Mugham is one of the main genres of Azerbaijani music, included in the list of masterpieces of the oral and intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO.
