Winners of international competitions to perform in Buryatia capitalUlan-Ude will host a concert as part of the Series of Concerts Given by Winners of National and International Competitions in the Regions of Russia

On May 7 the Buryat State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after G.Ts. Tsydynzhapov will host a concert in memory of Valery Galsanov, a conductor and the Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation.

The soloists will be the famous Russian performers – Alexey Melnikov (piano), Alexander Ramm (cello) and Maria Motolygina (soprano).

All musicians are winners of the International Tchaikovsky Competition, one of the world’s most prestigious music contests. Alexey Melnikov is the third prize winner at the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition (2019), Alexander Ramm is the second prize winner at the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition (2015), Maria Motolygina is the third prize winner at the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition (2019).

The Symphony Orchestra of the Akim of the East Kazakhstan Region, led by its art director maestro Alexander Galsanov, will participate in the concert.

The concert program has been prepared under the supervision of Alexander Galsanov, Valery Galsanov’s son. The program includes Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1, Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme, as well as arias from Verdi’s and Lehár’s operas.
