Days of Culture of the Republic of Belarus to take place in Yoshkar-Ola and KazanThe Days of Culture of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation will continue in Yoshkar-Ola (Mari El Republic) and Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan) from August 17 to August 28.

As part of the project, Eric Sapaev Mari State Opera and Ballet Theatre and V. Kachalov Kazan Academic Russian Bolshoi Drama Theater will host concerts by masters of the arts of the Republic of Belarus on August 17 and August 18. The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Markevich will take part in the opening ceremony.

The concerts in Kazan and Yoshkar-Ola will feature outstanding Belarusian music groups and soloists, such as the Tsitovich National Academic Folk Choir of the Republic of Belarus, Honored Collective of the Republic of Belarus State Academic Dance Ensemble of Belarus, Belarusian State Ensemble Pesnyary, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Viktoria Aleshko, Elena Kostitsyna and Olga Grigorenko Cimbalom Duo, as well as Ksenia Galetskaya, the Grand Prix winner at the International Children’s Music Competition Slaviansky Bazaar in Vitebsk and the Grand Prix winner at the Sanremo Junior International Children’s Singing Competition in Italy.

The Neglyubka Textile Tradition exhibition prepared by the Neglyubka Rural Center of Weaving and the Shklyarov Vetka Museum of Old Believers and Belarusian Traditions will run in the lobby of the Yoshkar-Ola and Kazan theaters on August 17 and August 18.

On August 18, the Gorky and Shalyapin Museum of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan in Kazan will host The Songs of the Belarusian Land exhibition of artworks created by the participants of the International Plein Air dedicated to the 140th birthday anniversary of Belarusian national poets Yanka Kupala and Yakub Kolas. The exhibition will run until 28 August.

Also, Belarusian films Fate of Saboteur (2021) and Destruct (2022) will be screened at the Cinema 5 movie theater (Respublika Shopping and Entertainment Center) as part of the project in Kazan.
