Federal State Budgetary Cultural Institution “ROSCONCERT”

“Soyuzconcert”

The Federal State Budgetary Cultural Institution “ROSCONCERT” is the legal successor to the USSR State Concert and Touring Bureau “Soyuzconcert,” founded in 1967. This was a centralized All-Union center for planning and coordinating tours of outstanding soloists and artistic companies throughout all the republics of the USSR.

“Soyuzconcert” has worked with renowned creative and performing companies, including the Bolshoi Theater of the USSR, the Kirov Opera and Ballet Theater, the Maly Theater of the USSR, Emil Gilels, Svyatoslav Richter, Lev Oborin, David Oistrakh, Leonid Kogan, Mstislav Rostropovich, Arkady Raikin, Lyudmila Zykina, Iosif Kobzon, Klavdiya Shulzhenko, and many others.

“Soyuzconcert” did not confine its activity to the organization of tours of musical and dramatic theater companies across the USSR, but also participated in international events, including the preparation and carrying of the cultural program for the 1980 Olympic Games.
