15 pianists from Russia, Colombia, China, Vietnam and Belarus have passed the qualifying round of the International Youth Piano Competition named after Sergei Rachmaninoff15 pianists have been invited to the first round of the International Youth Piano Competition named after Sergei Rachmaninoff:

Lev Bakirov Lev (Russia), Diaz Padilla Daniel (Colombia), Artur Iskorostensky (Russia), Alexander Knyazev (Russia), Li Junjie (China), Georgy Mazurov (Russia), Nguyen Duc Kien (Vietnam), Min Jui (China), Ni Tianxiang (China), Fedor Orlov (Russia), Gleb Semenov (Russia), Wu Xuanxian (China), Wu Yifan (China), Ji Qingyaoyao (China) and Shadrina Iris (Belarus).

We would like to remind you that acceptance of the applications for participation in the International Youth Piano Competition named after Sergei Rachmaninoff was completed on February 22. In total 120 applications from 8 countries of the world were submitted for the competition: Russia, Belarus, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, China, Colombia, Norway and Uzbekistan. The largest number of applications came from Russia and China.

The International Youth Piano Competition named after Sergei Rachmaninoff will be held for the first time in March 21-26, 2023 – the year of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sergei Rachmaninoff – in Veliky Novgorod, the composer’s native region.

The competition consists of a qualifying round (video), as well as live I and II (final) rounds. 15 pianists are allowed to participate in the live rounds. According to the results of the competition, the finalists will be awarded 5 prizes of a laureate of the competition in the amount of 350 thousand rubles and 10 prizes of a competition diploma holder of 100 thousand rubles each. The Grand Prix winner will be determined according to the results of the performance of the laureates in the final gala concert.

The organization and holding of the competition are carried out by ROSCONCERT with the support of the Government of the Novgorod Region.
