Acceptance of applications for the International Youth Piano Competition named after S.V. Rachmaninov startedThe International Youth Piano Competition named after S.V. Rachmaninoff will be held for the first time in March 21-26, 2023 (the year of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sergei Rachmaninoff) in Veliky Novgorod, the composer’s native region.

The competition will be held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
Applications are now open and will last until February, 15. Musicians aged 10 to 18 inclusive at the time of the start of the competition can participate. You can send an application and get acquainted with the conditions of the competition on the official website.

The Official opening of the first International Youth Piano Competition named after S.V. Rachmaninov is scheduled for March 21 at the Novgorod Regional Philharmonic. Denis Matsuev, pianist, the People’s Artist of Russia will be the artistic director and chairman of the jury. The jury will include prominent figures of Russian and foreign culture as well as famous musicians.

The organization and holding of the competition will be carried out by the Federal State Budgetary Cultural Institution ROSCONCERT with the support of the Government of the Novgorod Region.
