On 3 December, a concert by Russian musicians took place as part of the project Musical Seasons at the National Museum of the Sultanate of Oman.
The Omani audience was treated to a performance by the Pure Classics ensemble, featuring leading musicians from the Moscow orchestras, such as members of the Bolshoi Theater Wind Quintet and renowned soloists Nikolai Popov (flute), Sergei Petrov (clarinet), Andrei Rudometkin (bassoon), Alexey Popov (viola), Viktor Kozodov (cello), and Viktor Yampolsky (piano).
“Our ensemble had the honor of performing at the festival in the National Museum in Muscat. I think ‘Pure Classics’ and classical music in general were a great success with the audience,” said pianist Viktor Yampolsky. “I believe the Russian musical school is surely an advantageous offer for international projects, as its highest artistic level can always serve as a strong brand for representing Russian culture. I’d like to especially thank the organizers, the representatives of ROSCONCERT, who did their best to ensure we felt comfortable during the concert. We are very pleased to have participated in such a wonderful project.”
The concert program included Sonata for flute and piano and Kegelstatt Trio for piano, clarinet, and viola by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Trio Pathétique for clarinet, bassoon, and piano by Mikhail Glinka, and Trio for piano, flute, and cello by Carl Maria von Weber.
From 27 October to 17 December the project Musical Seasons at the National Museum of the Sultanate of Oman is featuring six concerts. Leading Russian musicians and ensembles take part in the project, among them are Dinara Aliyeva (soprano), Igor Morozov (tenor), Daria Davydova (soprano), Maxim Lisiin (baritone), Nail Mavlyudov (piano), Elena Tarosyan (violin), the Pure Classics ensemble, and the String Quartet of the Ossipov National Academic Orchestra of Folk Instruments. The upcoming musical evenings at the National Museum of the Sultanate of Oman will take place on 10 and 17 December.
The event is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and organized by the Federal State Budgetary Cultural Institution ROSCONCERT.
