Days of Russian Culture to be held in UzbekistanTashkent and Samarkand will host concerts of Russian pop music artists and the Phonograph-Sympho-Jazz orchestra under the direction of People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Sergei Zhilin.
On 29 May, the capital of Uzbekistan will welcome famous Russian musicians on the stage of the Palace of International Forums “Uzbekistan”. The audience will enjoy performances of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Pelageya, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and winner of the second season of The Voice TV show Sergey Volchkov, winner of the third season of The Voice TV show Alexandra Vorobyova, winner of the gold medal of the Delphic Games national and international flights in the Folk Vocal category Sofia Onopchenko, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan and finalist of of The Voice TV show Elmira Kalimullina, opera singer of the Bolshoi Theater Youth Opera Program Nikolai Zemlyanskikh (baritone), and musician, composer, and laureate of the Prize of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the field of culture and art Alexander Elovskikh.
On 30 May, the concert will take place in Samarkand, in the Eternal City Hall on the territory of the SilkRoadSamarkand Tourist Complex.
The concerts will start at 19:00.
In addition, the concert program venues will feature a unique photo exhibition Russia: Harmony of Nature, Architecture and People, which displays the photos of the most picturesque corners of Russia – from majestic cities to protected natural areas and popular tourist destinations.
Also, from 29 to 31 May, in cooperation with ROSKINO and as part of the Days of Russian Culture, the Festival of Russian Cinema will be held at the Alisher Navoi Cinema Palace (Tashkent). Viewers will have an opportunity to see such movies as Blood Group (directed by Maxim Brius), Cultural Comedy (directed by Vladimir Kott), The Return of the Parrot Kesha (directed by Oleg Asadulin), Fedya. People’s Football Player (directed by Nikolai Akelkin), 9 Seconds (directed by Oleg Shtrom) and Air (directed by Alexei German Jr.).
The Days of Russian Culture in Uzbekistan are an important step towards further strengthening the established cultural and humanitarian cooperation and friendly ties between our countries.
