Festival of Russian Culture to be held in IranThis event will become a telling symbol of friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries and will demonstrate the richness and diversity of Russian culture.

From 10 to 13 June, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Festival of Russian Culture  will be held in Tehran and Isfahan. The event is organized by the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture ROSCONCERT.

On 10 June, the festival will open with a gala concert in the capital of Iran on the stage of Vahdat Hall. The concert will feature the Tchaikovsky State Academic Big Symphony Orchestra (conductor – Arsenty Tkachenko), the State Academic Honored Dance Ensemble of Dagestan Lezginka, laureate of the XII International Tchaikovsky Competition Gaik Kazazyan (violin), laureates of the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition Igor Morozov (tenor) and Ivan Sendetsky (cello), and soloist of the Osipov National Academic Orchestra of Folk Instruments of Russia Alexander Nikolaychuk (balalaika).

10 June, the Niavaran Palace will host the exhibition of arts and crafts Living Traditions of Russia, organized by the Association of Folk Arts and Crafts of Russia. The exhibition will work until 15 June.

On 12 June, laureates of the International Tchaikovsky Competition Gaik Kazazyan (violin) and Igor Morozov (tenor) accompanied by the Tchaikovsky State Academic Big Symphony Orchestra will perform on the stage of the Isfahan City Center.

Apart from this, cooperation in the field of cinema is actively developing within the framework of cultural exchange between Russia and Iran: from 9 to 13 June, the Russian Film Festival will be held, organized jointly with ROSKINO.
