II Rachmaninoff International Competition for Pianists, Composers and Conductors Closes ApplicationsThe competition will take place from June 14 to June 26, 2025
The application period for the II Rachmaninoff International Competition for Pianists, Composers and Conductors has officially closed. A total of 532 applications were submitted from 25 countries, including Russia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, Brazil, Germany, Georgia, Jordan, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, Colombia, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Romania, the United States, Uzbekistan, Sweden, South Korea, and Japan.
The jury will now review the submissions and hold a virtual selection round based on the applicants’ video performances. Following this stage, 25 pianists, 12 composers, and 25 conductors will be invited to compete in the first round.
The competition will take place from June 14 to June 26, 2025, with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. Events will be hosted at Moscow’s leading venues: the Grand and Small Halls of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, and Philharmonia-2.
The competition is organized by ROSCONCERT, the Russian State Concert Company.
