Concerts and an exhibition of arts and crafts: Days of Culture of Turkmenistan took place in MoscowProject events of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Russia project were held from 4 to 6 June
Turkmen companies performed at the Russian Song Moscow State Academic Theater and the Et Cetera Moscow Theater.
Rector of the Maya Kulieva Turkmen National Conservatory Rasul Amangeldyev, noted:
“Today, cultural cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia is developing dynamically: Days of Culture, art exhibitions, concerts, theater tours, scientific conferences, and creative meetings are held regularly. Contacts between educational institutions, museums, libraries, and research centers of the two countries are expanding. Cooperation in the field of musical arts is particularly important.”
Among the participants of the concerts were the State Dance Ensemble of Turkmenistan, People’s Artists of Turkmenistan Gulshat Gurdowa and Atajan Berdyev, Honored Artists of Turkmenistan Aina Seyitgulyyewa and Sohbet Annamuradow (dutar), soloists Sarvar Sabirov (doira), Nurguly Khojamgulyyev (gidjak), Kakadjian Khudaiberdiev (gargy-pipe, saxophone, duduk) and Ashir Ashirov (piano).
The program included Turkmen folk melodies, opera arias, film songs, and Russian folk songs.

“Our artists presented a rich program. The audience gave us a warm welcome. The Days of Culture are very valuable for artists in terms of sharing experiences.”
An exhibition of the achievements of Turkmen artisans opened in the theater foyers, featuring folk costumes, household items, jewelry, and photographs of historical monuments.
Opera singer Darya Guseynova:
“Turkmenistan’s most important and unique achievement—jewelry art—is presented in all its glory. This is an opportunity for Russian audiences to experience this phenomenal art and understand the depth, beauty, and historical message embedded in these pieces.”
