Famous Russian companies will participate in the cultural program of the IX Russian-Chinese EXPOThe events will be held within the framework of the China-Russia Years Culture.
From 7 to 10 July, the ensemble of soloists of the Ural State Academic Russian Folk Choir and the quartet of soloists of the N. Osipov National Academic Orchestra of Folk Instruments of Russia will perform on the stage of the Yekaterinburg-EXPO International Exhibition Center as part of the cultural program of the IX Russian-Chinese EXPO in Yekaterinburg.
The Ural State Academic Russian Folk Choir, winner of numerous international and all-Russian competitions, keeper of the traditions of original folk art and the calling card of the Urals, will take the stage of the Yekaterinburg-EXPO IEC on 7 and 8 July. On the first day, the concert program will feature vocal and choreographic compositions Mother Russia, Barynya-Sudarynya, dance tunes and comic songs. The song At a Whistle-stop I Stand (music by I. Kataev, lyrics by M. Ancharov) that is beloved by many generations and the legendary Katyusha (music by M. Blanter, lyrics by M. Isakovsky) will also be performed. The dance group will present the choreographic pieces Behind the Village Fence and The Ural Quadrille.
At the second concert, the audience will have an opportunity to enjoy the vocal and choreographic sketch By the River, Where the Red Willow Was, the Ural square dance The Seven, the dance tune That’s Not an Onion, the Russian folk song A Daring Merchant Was Going Back from the Fair and Moscow Nights (music by V. Solovyov-Sedoy, lyrics by M. Matusovsky). The artistic director of the choir is Nikolai Zaitsev.
The N. Osipov National Academic Orchestra of Folk Instruments of Russia – a group with a rich history, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019, and is recognized not only in Russia but also throughout the world – will perform on 9 and 10 July. Alexey Gerasimov, Maria Gorbacheva, Yulia Neverova and Dilyara Sagdeeva will enter the stage. The concert program will feature music by A. Vivaldi, A. Corelli, S. Rachmaninoff, A. Glazunov, A. Eshpai, Ya. Frenkel, V. Gavrilin, E. Nizamov. Artistic Director – People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, Professor Vladimir Andropov.
