Kursk welcomes the winners of the Tchaikovsky CompetitionOn 30 June, a concert will be held here as part of the Musical Kaleidoscope project.
The playbill of the concert at the Kursk State Philharmonic features the names of: the 1st prize and gold medal winner of the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition Sergei Davydchenko (piano), laureate of the 6th prize of the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition and 2nd prize of the IV All-Russian Music Competition Vasily Stepanov (cello), winner of the special prize of the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition and the Yuri Bashmet Prize For the Beauty of Sound, laureate of the 2nd prize of the III All-Russian Music Competition Leonid Zhelezny (violin). The Symphony Orchestra of the Kursk State Philharmonic will take part in the concert. Artistic Director and Chief Conductor – Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Igor Sukachev.
The program will include: Ludwig van Beethoven. Concerto for Violin, Cello and Piano in C major, Op. 56; Vasily Kalinnikov. Symphony No. 1.
The Musical Kaleidoscope creative project is aimed at promoting the development of all forms of cultural cooperation in the regions of Russia, mutual exchange of cultural achievements, encouragement of joint creative activity of musicians-performers, as well as support of regional musical companies. Traditionally, participants of the projects are regional musical groups and invited soloists – laureates of all-Russian and international competitions.
