Kyrgyz Youth Theatre is a new participant in the Big Tour programThe company will give its first ever performances in Yekaterinburg.
According to Akylbek Alybaev, director of the Kyrgyz State Theater for Youth named after B. Kydykeeva, this year is special for the company – the theater has become a participant in the All-Russian tour and concert plan, and within the framework of the “Big Tour” program it will have the opportunity to perform in the capital of the Urals for the first time. The company will present its two productions on the stage of the Yekaterinburg Youth Theatre.
The Yekaterinburg audience will start their acquaintance with the art of the company from Bishkek on 3 April – this will be the play “Airplane Letters” (director: Ainura Kachkynbek kyzy) based on the novel by the French writer and playwright Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt Oscar and the Pink Lady – a work that has won the hearts of millions of readers.
On the closing date of the tour, 4 April, the play Pull Yourself Together, Dzholaman! will be presented. This production is based on the legend about Naiman-ane, which is one of the central episodes in Chingiz Aitmatov’s novel The Day Lasts More Than a Hundred Years. The director Shyryn Nurzhakyp offers his own, modern interpretation of this myth.
The Big Tour program is implemented by the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture ROSCONCERT in compliance with the All-Russian Tour and Concert Plan of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
