Winners of the Tchaikovsky Competition performed in the Republic of Mauritius.On 10 October, the Caudan Arts Centre in Port Louis, Mauritius, hosted a concert Brilliance of Russian Classics.

Before the concert, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Mauritius Irada Zeynalova addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.
The performers were young Russian musicians, laureates of the International Tchaikovsky Competition: Polina Shabunina (soprano), Maxim Lisiin (baritone), Ivan Sendetsky (cello), and Sergei Davydchenko (piano).

The concert program, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, included famous chamber works by Russian composers.
Polina Shabunina is a laureate of the 17th International Tchaikovsky Competition (4th prize) and a soloist with the Bolshoi Opera Company. She has performed in opera productions and concerts under the baton of many renowned conductors, including Valery Gergiev, Plácido Domingo, Konstantin Chudovsky, Anton Grishanin, and Ivan Nikiforchin. Polina was a participant of the Chaliapin Festival, the Sirius Music Festival, the All-Russian Music Festival The Sealed Angel (commemorating Rodion Shchedrin’s 90th birthday), and concerts within the framework of Music of Our Time project.

Maxim Lisiin is a laureate of international competitions. In 2023, he won second prize and a silver medal at the 17th International Tchaikovsky Competition. From 2022 to 2024, he was a participant of the Bolshoi Theatre’s Young Artists Opera Program. He has performed at the 17th International Music Festival Stars on Baikal in Irkutsk and the 12th Minsk International Christmas Opera Forum.

Ivan Sendetsky is a laureate of international competitions, winner of a Special prize (2019) and 4th prize (2023) at the International Tchaikovsky Competition. He has performed at the Verbier Music Festival (Switzerland), the Schlern International Music Festival (Italy), the Vivacello Festival, and the Moscow Easter Festival. He has participated in programs at the St. Petersburg House of Music and collaborates with many renowned conductors and instrumentalists.

Sergey Davydchenko is the winner of the First prize and a gold medal at the 17th International Tchaikovsky Competition (2023) and was awarded the title of Yamaha Artist. He has participated in many prestigious international music festivals, including Stars on Baikal, Christmas Meetings with Denis Matsuev, Stars of the White Nights, the Denis Matsuev International Festival in Perm, and the S. Rachmaninoff International Festival White Lilac.
