Moscow Song Theatre YAR performed in BeijingThe company participated in the cultural program of the Festival and Fair of Russian Goods Made in Russia.
The Festival took place from 28 to 30 August and became a highlight of the China – Russia Years of Culture. Among the guests of honor at the opening concert of the Festival on 28 August were: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the People’s Republic of China Igor Morgulov, Trade Commissioner of the Russian Federation to the People’s Republic of China Alexey Dakhnovsky, Special Representative of the Chinese Government for Eurasian Affairs Sun Linjiang, Chairman of the Expert Committee of the China Chamber of Commerce of Import & Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce & Animal By-Products (CFNA) Zhang Yuzhong, Deputy Director of the Department of Eurasian Affairs of the China’s Ministry of Commerce of the PRC Zhang Dong, Deputy Head of the Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau Zhang Huyuai, Russian figure-skater Kamila Valieva.
The ensemble presented a concert program featuring such well-known songs as Korobeiniki (Peddlers); I’ll Go Out to the Street, Lovely, Brothers, Lovely; For the Fatherland and Faith!; For My Russia!; Unharness Horses, Lads; Farewell of Slavianka and others. The famous Moscow Nights was performed in Chinese.
Soloist and Artistic director of the YAR Song Theatre, the laureate of the Kuban Youth Prize, composer Viktor Artemyev shared his impressions: “Our ensemble, the YAR Song Theatre, is visiting China for the first time. It is especially touching and exciting that we are in the very heart of the country – Beijing. The people here are wonderful, responsive and good-natured! The response of the audience to our concert program is impressive! People know and sing many songs together with us, and participate in common activities with enthusiasm. Such spiritual and creative unity confirms the friendship of the Russian and Chinese peoples not only at the state level, but also at the level of ordinary people. It is a great honor for us to be ambassadors of Russian culture abroad. I express my deep appreciation and gratitude for this vote of confidence to the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture ROSCONCERT.”
The Moscow Song Theatre YAR, founded in 2019, is a laureate of all-Russian and international competitions, the holder of the Gratitude of the Mayor of Moscow and the Certificate of Merit of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Mari El. The participants of the ensemble are eight professional musicians, all graduates of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music.
The Made in Russia Festival is held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture ROSCONCERT.
