The Award Ceremony for the laureates of the II International Competition for Pianists, Composers and Conductors was held at the Petrovsky PalaceThe winners, participants, jury and honorary guests of the Competition took part in the ceremony.
The Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova opened the Ceremony. She also presented special prizes of the competition:
In the Piano Category, diplomas and an incentive prizes were awarded to the two best participants of the II round that did not advance to the finals: Yun Xuhua (China) and Saori Sugimoto (Japan);
In the Composition Category, a special prize for the best work for a piano was awarded to Eduard Kiprsky (Russia);
A special prize for the best work for voice and piano based on the poems of Russian poets was awarded to Nina Sinyakova (Belarus / USA).
Also, the following orchestras received diplomas of gratitude “For Brilliant Work at the Competition”: Svetlanov State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia, the State Symphony Orchestra “Novaya Rossiya”, the Orchestra of the State Academic Symphony Capella of Russia, the Russian National Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre.
The Winners Gala concert will take place at 19:00 at the Great Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory.
