Fourth Prize and Diploma: Jinhan Xiao / China

Fifth Prize and Diploma: Pyotr Dyatlov / Russia

Sixth Prize and Diploma: Maishuo Luo / China

Vladimir Kobekin / Russia

The Special Prize from the Union of Composers of Russia was awarded to Vladimir Kobekin / Russia.

Special prizes were also awarded to pianists: Vera Zyryanova, Alexei Kudryashov, Timofey Vladimirov and Ekaterina Mechetina, who performed solo parts in the works of composers.

12 contestants have attended the auditions in the Composition nomination, taking place from June 20 to 26 in the Small Hall of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the Rachmaninov Concert Hall (Philharmonia-2). Composers’ competition included two parts. At the first one the participants presented their works for piano solo, at the second part – works for piano and orchestra. All works submitted to the Competition were new, previously not published anywhere and not performed. The jury consisted of: Alexander Tchaikovsky (Chair of jury), Yuri Bashmet, Valery Voronov, Do Hong Quan, Mikhail Kokzhaev, Tolegen Mukhamedzhanov, Alexander Radvilovich, Alexey Rybnikov.

Awarding ceremony of the Rachmaninoff International Competition will be held on June 27 at 12:00 at the Pashkov House in Moscow. Later this day, at 19:00, the laureates will perform at a gala concert in the Great Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory.

On June 28 (19:00), they will also perform on one stage with Denis Matsuev and Valery Gergiev in St. Petersburg, as part of the First International Music Festival Brass of the White Nights.
