Applications are open for the Rachmaninoff International competition for pianists, composers and conductors on 28 December 2021 that will take place between 14 and 27 June 2022 in Moscow in three central locations: in the Great Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory, Tchaikovsky Hall, and Philharmonia-2 in Rachmaninoff Concert Hall.

The competition is established in 2021 on the eve of the 150th birth celebration of the composer and the Year of Music in the Russian Federation in 2023.

The creative head and the initiator of the competition is the People’s Artist of Russia, Denis Matsuev.

The competition is held in three specialities: piano, composition, and conducting.
