Applications Open for the XV International Ballet Competition in MoscowThe Competition shall take place in Moscow from 25 June to 5 July 2026 on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia

The application period for the XV International Ballet Competition is now open. The project is founded by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and organized by ROSCONCERT, with the participation of the International Federation of Ballet Competitions.

Held since 1969, the International Ballet Competition has earned worldwide recognition for its distinguished history, artistic authority, and enduring prestige. The opportunity for young dancers to perform on the historic stage of the Bolshoi Theatre has firmly established the Competition as one of the most respected ballet competitions in the world.

Applications and the full Terms and Conditions of the Competition shall be available on the official website. The application deadline is 20 March 2026.

The 2026 Competition shall be dedicated to the memory of the outstanding choreographer of our time, Yuri Grigorovich, who for more than fifty years served as the permanent Artistic Director and Chair of the Jury of this landmark international project.

In accordance with long-standing tradition, the Jury shall be composed of leading figures of the international choreographic community. The Chair of the Jury shall be People’s Artist of Russia, Bolshoi Theatre prima ballerina, and Acting Rector of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography, Svetlana Zakharova.
