A folk group AY YOLA from Russia took part in the Stars of the New Uzbekistan awards ceremonyThe event took place on 28 January in Tashkent

The National Culture and Art Award ceremony Yangi O’zbekiston Yulduzlari (Stars of the New Uzbekistan) was held in the pavilion of the national music and entertainment channel Zo’r TV. The Bashkir folk group AY YOLA participated as invited Russian guests.

First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Avazxon Tadjixanov presented the Russian group with the  award pin “For Dedication to Culture and Art”

“It is a great honor and responsibility for us to be part of such a significant event, uniting talented artists and cultural figures. Music is the only language that requires no translation. Culture and art are what strengthen communication between people and nations”

– said AY YOLA members People’s Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rinat Ramazanov and Honored Artists of the Republic of Bashkortostan Adel Shaikhitdinova and Ruslan Shaikhitdinov.

In addition to participating in the awards ceremony, the musicians took part in the filming of the popular evening talk show “UKLAMAYSIZMI?” on the Uzbek TV channel ZO’R TV.

The AY YOLA band was formed in 2024 in Ufa. The group performs ethno-pop songs. Combining ancestral traditions with modern musical styles, the band creates a unique show that brings ancient stories to life. Inspired by oral storytelling traditions, the musicians add powerful electronic rhythms, live guitar parts, and the enchanting sounds of Bashkir instruments.

AY YOLA became widely known after performing the song Homay from the album Ural Batyr, which became a hit and gained millions of views across various platforms. The band performed this song in Uzbekistan.

The National Award in Culture and Arts Stars of the New Uzbekistan was established by a Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan in 2022. The award is presented to representatives of theater, circus, music, choreography; traditional, academic, folk, and pop art; arts and crafts, artistic creativity, and other fields.

The event is organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Federal State Budgetary Cultural Institution ROSCONCERT.
