Dance, music, and cinema: Russia presented its culture in KazakhstanRussian Culture Days were held in Astana from 23 to 26 April
A roundtable discussion was held at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the participation of the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva and the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Andrey Malyshev, as well as representatives of the creative and scientific intelligentsia. The discussion focused on the development of cultural cooperation: joint exhibitions, film festivals, tours, and new formats of interaction.
“It is very important that our meetings are becoming a tradition. A year ago, we also held a roundtable discussion to talk about prospects for cooperation, and today we can already speak about concrete results in virtually all areas of culture – from museum and archival work to collaboration between theater and concert organizations. This demonstrates that our dialogue truly works and allows us to meaningfully expand our cultural and humanitarian ties. Today’s meeting provides an opportunity to once again compare approaches, propose new initiatives, and develop a broader range of joint events and activities,” emphasized Aida Balayeva.
Andrey Malyshev noted that creative collaboration between the countries continues to develop:
“For many years, brotherly Kazakhstan has warmly welcomed Russian cultural figures. This once again proves that we share a common cultural space, that we know no boundaries in culture and art. We share common values and principles of world culture and art. Last year, the Days of Kazakhstan Culture in Russia were fantastic, and as always, we welcome our brothers from Kazakhstan, top-level groups, to friendly Moscow. We are not only united politically and economically, we are also united spiritually. The Days of Russian Culture, which we are opening today, are another proof of this.”
