The Bishkek Youth Theatre held its first Big TourOn 3 and 4 April, Yekaterinburg welcomed the Kyrgyz State Youth Theatre named after B. Kydykeeva.

The opening event of the tour was attended by Deputy Head of the City of Yekaterinburg Marina Fadeeva, the Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic Maksat Tentimishov, the Director of the Kyrgyz State Youth Theatre named after B. Kydykeeva Akylbek Alybaev and the Director of the Yekaterinburg Youth Theatre Sergey Radchenko, who delivered welcoming speeches.

This year has been special for the Bishkek company – the theater joined the All-Russian tour and concert plan and for the first time visited the capital of the Urals. In addition, a Cooperation Memorandum was signed between the Yekaterinburg Youth Theatre and the Kyrgyz Youth Theatre, which opens up more opportunities for cultural exchange and serves to strengthen friendly ties.

The Big Tour was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Yekaterinburg Theater. Therefore, colleagues from the B. Kydykeeva Theater presented the “birthday company” with a gift – a carved clock in the shape of a yurt, which, according to Sergei Radchenko, “from now counts down the new time of the Yekaterinburg Youth Theater.”

The Yekaterinburg audience got acquainted with two shows of the Kyrgyz company – a touching production of Airplane Letters(director: Ainura Kachkynbek kyzy) after the novel by E. Schmitt Oscar and the Pink Lady and Pull Yourself Together, Dzholaman! based on the legend about Naiman-ane, which is an important part of Chingiz Aitmatov’s novel The Day Lasts More Than a Hundred Years (director Shyryn Nurzhakyp).

The Big Tour program is implemented by the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture ROSCONCERT in compliance with the All-Russian Tour and Concert Plan of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
