Days of culture of Tajikistan opened in MoscowOn 2 June, exhibitions and a concert of Tajik masters of the arts were held in the Russian capital.

The launch of the Days of Culture was marked by the vernissage Beauty of Tajikistan: Heritage for the Future. The exhibition opening at the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts, the Zurab Tsereteli Art Gallery, took place in the presence of the Ministers of Culture of both countries.

“It is important to demonstrate the uniqueness of art and traditions both through the works of classics and young, emerging talents, for whom participation in the exhibition will be the first line in their artistic biography. They have the honor of representing the culture of a unique country, which is fraternal and friendly to us. We are grateful for making these traditional exchange events not just a formality, but a real opportunity to share what we love,” emphasized the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova.

The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan, Matlubakhon Sattoriyon, noted: “The art of Tajikistan is a bridge between the past and the future, between the East and the West, between tradition and contemporaneity.”

The heads of the cultural government departments of the two countries also welcomed the participants and guests of the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of Tajikistan in Russia at the New Stage of the Bolshoi Theater, where the gala concert Herald of Friendship was given.

“The Days of Culture is constantly becoming a larger-scale event, and this absolutely corresponds to the level of mutual relations between our countries,” noted the head of the Russian Ministry of Culture. “And once again it is proved that the historical friendship of the peoples of the two countries, the affinity and interrelation of our cultures are an enduring value, a guarantee of building strong ties for many years to come.”

The program of the gala concert Herald of Friendship featured folk music and works by Tajik composers, which were performed by leading performing companies and soloists from Tajikistan. The concert was accompanied by the State Symphony Orchestra of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

In addition, an exhibition of folk crafts of the Republic of Tajikistan was displayed in the foyer of the Bolshoi Theatre.

On 4 June, the gala concert Herald of Friendship will be held in Kazan on the stage of the Galiasgar Kamal Tatar State Academic Theater, and an exhibition of Tajik folk crafts will also be presented in the theater’s foyer.
