Moscow will host the 5th International Children’s Cultural ForumThe 5th, jubilee edition of International Children’s Cultural Forum will be held in Moscow from 20 to 21 August 2026

The event is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

“For five years now, the International Children’s Cultural Forum has been welcoming children from all regions of Russia and around the world, providing a platform for bold creative explorations and warm, friendly meetings. Here, young talents can not only demonstrate their abilities but also discover the finest examples of Russian and international culture, meet like-minded people, and receive valuable guidance from professionals. I am confident that this jubilee forum edition will provide participants with many exciting experiences, new knowledge, and opportunities to unleash their creative potential,” noted the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova.

The forum will be held at the Moscow Palace of Pioneers on Vorobyovy Gory. It will bring together young artists, musicians, writers, filmmakers, theater and circus makers aged 12–17 from across Russia and 17 countries.

The program will encompass six creative areas: Music, Choreography, Theatre and Circus, Cinema and Animation, Museums and Fine Arts, and Literature and Journalism. Traditionally, the curators of these areas will be: General Director of the St. Petersburg State Academic Capella Olga Khomova, (Music); Honored Artist of Russia Yegor Druzhinin (Choreography); People’s Artists of Russia Sergey Bezrukov and Edgard Zapashny (Theatre and Circus); Director of the V. I. Dahl State Museum of the History of Russian Literature Dmitry Bak (Literature and Journalism); General Director of the A. A. Bakhrushin State Central Theatre Museum Kristina Trubinova (Museums and Fine Arts); and General Producer of Okko streaming platform  Gavriil Gordeev (Cinema and Animation).

The main theme of the 5th International Children’s Cultural Forum will be The Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, which will be presented through creative meetings and joint projects by participants dedicated to the culture, traditions, and diversity of Russia’s peoples.

The Children’s Initiatives Competition in the sphere of culture and art will be one of the Forum’s landmark events. Following a creative presentation, the young authors of the best projects will be able to bring their ideas to life with the support of the Russian Ministry of Culture. 

As usual, the organizers will devote special attention to informal interactions between participants outside of the Forum’s events. Special, cozy areas where participants can exchange experiences, share impressions, and make new, useful connections, will be arranged at the venue.
