The IV International Children’s Cultural Forum opened today at the Moscow Palace of PioneersThe IV International Children’s Cultural Forum began in Moscow on August 21 and will continue until August 23.
This important event in the country’s cultural life has been organized for the fourth year in a row by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and ROSCONCERT.
The Palace of Pioneers has become a grand creative venue where aspiring musicians, artists, actors, and journalists can showcase their talents, meet renowned cultural figures, and create their own projects. At the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova delivered a welcoming address:
“The Forum is being held for the 4th time, and over these years it has accumulated a wealth of educational and cultural experience. Almost 2,000 children from all regions of our country and 17 countries worldwide — including Abkhazia, Armenia, Belarus, Oman, Turkey, Serbia, Cuba, and others — have gathered here. Such broad representation clearly demonstrates that the Forum is an effective platform for international cultural dialogue and communication between our future creators. Children from all regions of Russia and abroad can meet here, exchange their creative achievements and plans. Each year, we introduce new formats of communication into the Forum’s program, thereby shaping our cultural code.”
The Forum’s program is traditionally curated by prominent cultural figures: Sergey Bezrukov (Artistic Director of the Moscow Provincial Theatre, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation), Evgeny Mironov (Artistic Director of the State Theatre of Nations, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation), and Edgard Zapashny (General Director of the Great Moscow State Circus, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation) — Theatre and Circus; Kristina Trubinova (General Director of the A. A. Bakhrushin State Central Theatre Museum) — Museums and Fine Arts; Yegor Druzhinin (choreographer, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation) — Choreography; Dmitry Bak (Director of the State Museum of the History of Russian Literature named after V. I. Dahl) — Literature and Journalism; Gavriil Gordeev (General Producer of Okko, President and founder of the International Festival of Children’s and Family Film and Animation “Medvezhonok”) — Cinema and Animation; Olga Khomova (General Director of the St. Petersburg State Academic Capella, Honored Cultural Worker of the Russian Federation) — Music.
Every day, curators and speakers of the Forum will meet with participants at various venues, conduct master classes, hold open dialogues, answer questions, and share their invaluable experience and knowledge. Together with the State Fund for Supporting Participants of the Special Military Operation Defenders of the Fatherland, the program includes a lecture by veterans entitled “Serving the Motherland. Preserving Memory”, as well as the traditional campaign “Letter to a Soldier”, where children write letters to soldiers.
Nearly 2,000 children have arrived for the Forum from all regions of Russia and 17 countries worldwide. Between August 21 and 23, a total of 107 events will take place, featuring 120 speakers.
