Russian cultural events will be held in PakistanThe Rossiya Ensemble named after Lyudmila Zykina will give a concert in the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad.
The concert dedicated to the 10th meeting of the Russian-Pakistan
Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical
Cooperation will take place on 26 November on the stage of the Pakistan National
Arts Council in Islamabad. The State Academic Russian Folk Ensemble Rossiya
named after Lyudmila Zykina will present its concert program. The ensemble’s
artistic director is Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Dmitry Dmitrienko. The
laureate of international competition Sergey Kornyakov will be at the conductor’s
stand.
The concert program will feature pieces from the ensemble’s musicl trove, including
Down the Peterskaya Street and Peddlers (Korobeiniki), the old Russian romance
Dark Eyes, variations on the theme of the Russian folk song The Moon Shines by
Vasily Andreyev, By the Long Road by Boris Fomin, and other works by Russian and
Soviet composers.
Also on this day, a photo exhibition The Many Faces of Russia will be open in the
foyer, introducing residents and visitors to Islamabad to the most beautiful sites of
our country.
The Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technical
Cooperation between Russia and Pakistan was established to develop mutually
beneficial cooperation in trade and economics, science, technology, and education.
It serves as a platform for discussing and implementing joint projects, strengthening
trade ties and technology exchange, and signing relevant agreements.
