The cultural and artistic project Rising Ethiopia will be presented in St. Petersburg and MoscowOn 11 September, the Ethiopian creative group KIN ETHIOPIA will give its first ever performance in Russia on the stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre as part of the XI St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures.
Ethiopia is one of the largest countries in Africa known for its ethnic, linguistic and cultural diversity.
The show Rising Ethiopia is a cultural diplomacy initiative aimed at showcasing Ethiopia’s vibrant cultural heritage and strengthening international ties with Russia. The audience will be introduced to the ancient heritage, history and spirit of unity of the Republic through traditional and contemporary music, expressive dances, flamboyant fine-drawn costumes and the world-famous Ethiopian coffee ceremony.
This landmark event will become a highlight of XXI St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures, and will also emphasize the strength of Russian-Ethiopian relations – a partnership based on mutual respect, solidarity and cooperation.
The Moscow audience will also have a chance to get acquainted with all the colors of the Ethiopian national culture. The second performance of the creative group KIN ETHIOPIA will take place on 14 September on the stage of Philharmonic-2.
