The final 2025 events aimed at promoting the Russian language will be held in BahrainThe events will take place on 14 and 15 December

Lyudmila Agapkina, PhD in Pedagogical Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of Russian Studies, Ethno-Oriented Pedagogy, and Digital Didactics at the Russian Language Institute of the Patrice Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, will give a lecture on the Russian language in Manama, the capital of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

On 14 December, Gulf University will offer a Hello, Russia! lesson for students, and on 15 December, the lesson will be held for adult learners of Russian in Qalat Bahrain.

Also on 14 December, Lyudmila Agapkina will give a lecture for students with a basic knowledge of Russian, titled Verbs of Motion: ‘Let’s Move Forward!’ During the lecture, participants will have the opportunity to interact with the teacher, gain a better understanding and sense of speech structure, and practice constructing simple sentences in Russian.

In addition, the Qalat Bahrain Museum will present a photo exhibition The Many Faces of Russia, showcasing the diversity and beauty of Russia’s regions, reflecting the richness of its cultural heritage, architectural masterpieces, and natural landscapes through the lens of a photographer.

The project A Complex of cultural events abroad aimed at promoting and popularizing the Russian language aims at increasing interest in the study of the Russian language and Russian culture. Events have already taken place in Tanzania, Myanmar, Venezuela, Morocco, Brazil, Laos, Oman, North Korea, Djibouti, Turkmenistan, and Nicaragua. The events in Bahrain will conclude the 2025 series.
