International Children’s Cultural Forum

The Children’s Cultural Forum is a large-scale cultural and educational event that unites talented young people from Russia and abroad. Organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Federal State Budgetary Cultural Institution ROSCONCERT, the forum offers a platform for developing the creative potential of children and young people in six priority areas: choreography, music, theater and circus, museums and fine arts, cinema and animation, literature and journalism. Each area is supervised by leading representatives of Russian culture.

The mission of the forum is to create an environment for communication between gifted children and young people and renowned teachers, actors, musicians, government and public figures in order to open the opportunity for forum participants to express their vision of cultural development and their own needs for successful creative development.

The forum annually brings together over 2,000 young people from the Russian Federation, as well as from neighboring and distant countries: Belarus, India, Abkhazia, Algeria, Serbia, Egypt, South Ossetia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Transnistria, Syria, Cuba, China and other countries. This facilitates the exchange of cultural experience and the expansion of the creative horizons of the young event participants.

The program of the forum features lectures, master classes, sessions, discussions and gala concerts involving prominent figures of Russian culture – actors, painters, directors, writers, and critics. Every year the forum becomes a point of attraction for teachers of children’s art schools, mentors and curators from all over the country.

The Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova notes: “It is important to support aspiring artists or children who simply love theater, cinema, music, museums, and the history of fine arts, and give them a chance to meet within the framework of one large event, which will welcome teachers of children’s art schools, acting and choreography teachers who come from different regions of the country to communicate and share experiences.”

The Children’s Cultural Forum is not a mere event, but a special space for supporting and developing young talents, forming a new generation of cultural figures ready to contribute to Russian and world art.
