The total number of views of the online broadcasts of the events of the first two days of the Rachmaninoff International Youth Piano Competition has reached over 400,000.
The start to the Rachmaninoff International Youth Piano Competition was given by Ivan Bessonov, the First Prize winner of the Rachmaninoff International Competition of Pianists, Composers and Conductors which was held with great success in 2022 in Moscow on the eve of the anniversary of the great musician.
The Rachmaninoff International Youth Piano Competition will be held from in March 21-26, 2023 – the year of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sergei Rachmaninoff – in Veliky Novgorod, the composer’s native region.
The draw for the participants of the Rachmaninoff International Youth Piano Competition took place March 20 at the Novgorod Regional Philharmonic named after A. Arensky.
On February 28 the acceptance of applications for participation in the All-Russian drawing competition “The World of Rachmaninoff” was completed. In total, 224 works from 40 regions of Russia were sent to the competition:

For the first time the International Youth Piano Competition named after Sergey Rachmaninoff will be held in March 21-26, 2023, the year of his 150th birthday, in the composer’s homeland Veliky Novgorod.
The XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition will be held from June 19 to July 1, 2023 in Moscow and St. Petersburg with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
The International Youth Piano Competition named after S.V. Rachmaninoff will be held for the first time in March 21-26, 2023 (the year of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sergei Rachmaninoff) in Veliky Novgorod, the composer’s native region.
