Applications for the IV All-Russian Music Competition ClosedApplications for the IV All-Russian Music Competition in Piano, Violin, Cello, and Solo Singing closed on August 10.

In total, 241 applications have been submitted for the IV All-Russian Music Competition, including from 26 cities across Russia (i.e., Azov, Almetyevsk, Astrakhan, Belgorod, Vladivostok, Vladikavkaz, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Krasnoyarsk, Magnitogorsk, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Perm, Petrozavodsk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Saint Petersburg, Saransk, Saratov, Sochi, Ussuriysk, Ufa, and Yakutsk).

In 2022, all the three rounds and the gala concerts will be held in four Russian cities with violinists to kick off in Kazan on September 26 through October 3 and to be followed by cellists in Ufa on October 12-18. Soloists will then compete in Khanty-Mansiysk on November 1-8, to finish with the piano contest that will take place in Krasnoyarsk on December 3-9.

First-award winners will be able to take part (without preliminary selection) in the first round of the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition as one of the world’s biggest and most prestigious competitions celebrating its 65th anniversary in 2023.
